Sweet cakes

May 13th, 2008 in Random

I miss Korea a lot lately. Here’s a picture of Baskin Robin cakes. They looks so good especially compared to American cakes. There’s so many great things about Korea I kind of wish I never left. Not that my life here is bad…just that I enjoyed what Korea had to offer a lot more. Or maybe I just miss the random cravings and being able to satisfy them on the spot in addition to everything being 10298340293x cheaper. HAHA

I really regret not taking advantage of living there. There were so many things that I had available to me that I want/need now that I didn’t appreciate it then. Like the clothing style is a lot of what I wear now, the incredible food :B, cheap art supplies, being able to get around by WALKING or cheap transportation, and so many other things! I guess its really true that you don’t know what you have til its gone.

In other news, I haven’t quite decide which direction I want to take with the design just yet. Haha I’m indecisive! But for now this will have to do. What do you guys think?

Child Labor Is Good Sometimes

May 12th, 2008 in Random

A lot of things to fix. <3 And I just upgraded (long over dued) wordpress to the most recent version. Woohoo! Took long enough because my smartFTP kept crashing.

This photo is a picture of my Korean students that I taught english to while I was in Korea. They were so adorable. On weekends I would take them on the army base to hang out. This Saturday, there was a bake sale for my soccer team and the boy wanted to wear the sign around. Lawl. So cute. I kind of miss them but then again they were a pain in the butt!

Spring time is here! There’s so many random flowers growing in our backyard but of course, they’re all beautiful.

My new years resolution was to take pictures, draw/design and blog more but that hasn’t really been working out. Haha! Now I remember why I don’t do resolutions. Hrm maybe that’ll change if I stop being lazy and manage to get more time.

America’s Best Dance Crew

April 4th, 2008 in Random

So, the show ended forever ago but that doesn’t mean you can’t catch a few clips of it whenever you want!

The company I’m with, Mixr Media, has given the loving fans of ABDC a chance to download clips of the performances from Kaba Modern and Jabbawockeez. So far, performaces from the Live Audition to the Hip Hop history are available both in AVI and Ipod format. Unavailable at Youtube, who knows how long they’ll be around so get them while you can! Both crews are amazing and my favorite to say the least but don’t just take my word for it.

For those of you who are out of the blogosphere, there have been a few bloggers here and there writing on the results of the show - Jabbawockeez and Status Quo being the finalists. Many would disagree with the results and even say that Status Quo shouldn’t been been around as long as they have been. Personally, I have to agree with the rest of them. While Status Quo can perform amazing stunts, their choreography isn’t anything above or near average. One blog analyzed all the dance crews and said that Status Quo was the least talented on the show. But of course not all America agrees with each other or the judges. If you didn’t watch the week 7 episode, the bottom two crews were Jabbawockeez and Kaba Modern who put on an amazing performance whereas Status Quo, who was supposedly the number 1 crew in America at the time, was sloppy and not as entertaining as the other two which the judges concluded as well! But regardless, the judges have to eliminate one of the bottom two crews and it was Kaba Modern. It was so heartbreaking to see them go but hopefully it won’t be the last time we see them.

Jabbawockeez won of course in the season finale hands down. For some reason Randy Jackson appeared and gave them hats. Weird. Tune in for next season! http://dance.mtv.com

Enjoy the videos while they last! You must be a member to download the videos!

Storm Troopers are real!

March 10th, 2008 in Random

And very odd for that matter.

This is the blogger Danny Choo! He’s an otaku based in Japan. He has a handful of videos similar to this one of him dancing around in various areas in Japan (the music he uses is awesome too!). All of which are very amusing. Sometimes a popular Japanese idol is with him, like this one - the camera girl is the model Amano Ai. He’s a very popular blogger in the Asian media community and should be because his site features a lot of cool and interesting things. He’s also a photographer and his shots are awesome which is good because he meets a lot of Japanese beauties. ;p

Check him out at www.dannchoo.com
